Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineering Consultant to join our team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in structural design and analysis, with experience in managing projects from conception through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural solutions for complex projects.
• Ensure structural integrity through rigorous analysis and testing.
• Work with a wide range of software tools for design and modelling.
• Lead design reviews and conduct peer reviews of colleague's work.
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare and validate documentation for client submissions.
• Assess and manage risks associated with structural works.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus
• Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields are advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering, with significant project leadership

Technical Skills

• Structural Design Codes
• Site Inspection

Soft Skills

• Negotiation Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in high-rise building design: Demonstrated experience in designing complex high-rise structures.
• Familiarity with project management software: Experience using software tools to manage engineering projects effectively.
