Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for performing complex analysis and risk assessments to help our clients manage their financial risks. You will work closely with senior actuaries and other stakeholders to provide insights based on data modelling and statistical analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in actuarial methodologies and possess a thorough understanding of the insurance landscape.

Responsibilities

• Analyse trends in data to assist in product development.
• Work closely with underwriting teams to assess policy pricing.
• Develop and maintain databanks for actuarial evaluations.
• Participate in claims data analysis to identify loss patterns.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Completed actuarial exams is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in an actuarial or actuarial-related role

Technical Skills

• R Programming
• SQL Database Management

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA)
• Certified Data Analyst (CDA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with predictive analytics tools: Experience with tools like SAS or Python for predictive modeling is an advantage.
