Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Experimental Aircraft Mechanic to maintain and overhaul our fleet of experimental aircraft. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring their safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on experimental aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to aircraft systems and resolve them promptly.
  • Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Oversee installation and modification of aircraft components.
  • Engage in continuous learning about new technologies and maintenance techniques.
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic engineering team to enhance aircraft performance.
  • Ensure that all work adheres to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in training junior mechanics and technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Attend safety briefings and stay compliant with legal regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Equivalent qualifications recognised by aviation authorities.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Proficiency in using specialised tools

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of experimental aircraft regulations: In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes.
  • Experience with piston and/or turbine engines: Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing piston or turbine engines.
