Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Manager to oversee our IT support team in Sunderland. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in security management and a deep understanding of IT operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, managing incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and enforce security policies and protocols.
• Assess and improve current security measures for IT services.
• Serve as point of contact for all security-related inquiries.
• Facilitate security training programs for all employees.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security standards and practices.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report security incidents to relevant authorities as required.
• Implement a security awareness culture throughout the organization.
• Conduct forensics analysis after security incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or similar
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in managing security operations in an IT context
