Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Soil Health Specialist to join our team in Wigan. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing soil samples, advising on soil management practices, and implementing strategies to enhance soil health across various ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead field trials to evaluate soil management techniques.
• Implement soil remediation projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Utilise GIS tools for soil data mapping and analysis.
• Conduct workshops to educate the community about soil conservation.
• Evaluate and enhance existing soil health programmes.
• Foster partnerships with environmental organisations and universities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, or related area
• PhD in Soil Science is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in soil health assessment
