Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter skilled in AutoCAD to produce detailed technical drawings and plans. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and architects to create accurate documentation for various engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Utilise AutoCAD and other relevant software for drafting purposes.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure designs are feasible.
• Produce 3D models when required to assist in visualising designs.
• Track revisions and updates to drawings efficiently.
• Engage in continuous learning of new drafting technologies and upgrades.
• Uphold project confidentiality and follow company procedures.
• Provide exemplary customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Engage in problem-solving discussions to streamline processes.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
• Prepare material take-offs from engineering drawings.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Engineering or Design
• Additional training in CAD software is preferred

Experience

• Experience in drafting for construction or manufacturing projects is a plus.
