Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cloth framer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for framing various types of fabrics, including tapestries, textiles, and canvas artworks. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, outstanding hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work with delicate materials.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke frames for unique artwork based on client specifications.
• Ensure the integrity of fabrics by employing conservation techniques during framing.
• Manage inventory of framing supplies and materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and providing recommendations.
• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and share ideas.
• Document completed projects and maintain records.
• Collaborate with artists and interior designers on custom framing projects.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a cloth framer is essential

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in textile arts

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of conservation techniques
