Job Description

As a Musical Instrument Repairer and Tuner, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and tune organs to ensure flawless sound quality. You will collaborate with musicians and music institutions, assess instrument conditions, and perform repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular tuning sessions adjusting for environmental changes.
  • Utilise organ tuning software to enhance performance accuracy.
  • Train junior technicians as required in tuning and maintenance techniques.
  • Document detailed reports on each organ's condition post-service.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops.
  • Manage parts inventory to maintain supply for repairs.

Requirements

Education
  • Formal qualification in music or sound engineering is a plus.
Experience
  • Experience working with a variety of organs and organ models is beneficial.
