Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Database Manager to oversee and enhance our database systems within our Liverpool office. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our data management systems, whilst also providing strategic input into our database architecture and management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design database schema and structure to meet business needs.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate database with applications.
  • Perform regular database maintenance including updates and patches.
  • Train team members on database best practices and tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
  • Review and optimise SQL queries for performance improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant field
  • Master’s degree is highly desirable
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a database management role

  • IBM Certified Database Administrator
