Job Description

As a Veterinary Receptionist at Leading Veterinary Services, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointment schedules, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a friendly welcome to clients and their pets.
  • Answer phone calls and email inquiries efficiently.
  • Handle appointment bookings and follow-up reminders.
  • Manage pet records and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Assist the veterinarian with preparation for appointments.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve client services.
  • Maintain stock levels of clinic supplies and replenish as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required
  • Additional qualifications in animal care are beneficial
Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role within a veterinary or healthcare setting is preferred

Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with pet nutrition: Able to advise clients on basic pet nutrition and welfare considerations.
  • First Aid Certification: Certified in animal first aid, beneficial in emergencies.
