Job Description

As a Chemical Dependency Therapist, you will provide critical counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction. Your role will involve assessing clients, developing tailored treatment plans, and conducting therapy sessions, both individually and in groups. Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client assessments to evaluate their treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual assessments.
  • Provide therapeutic support in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Maintain collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
  • Document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to promote understanding and support.
  • Stay abreast of new research in addiction treatment and incorporate best practices.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in addiction counseling preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in addiction counselling or related fields
