Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Birmingham team. The ideal candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of our software through comprehensive testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts for software applications.
• Perform manual testing to identify issues in user interfaces and workflows.
• Document and maintain detailed test results and reports.
• Work closely with the development team to understand new features and functionalities.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics.
• Conduct risk assessments and prioritise testing efforts accordingly.
• Continuously learn and apply new QA technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

Technical Skills

• Automation Frameworks
• Performance Testing Tools (LoadRunner, JMeter)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies: Experience with testing applications deployed in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in Mobile Testing: Knowledge and practice in testing mobile applications for various platforms.
