Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Solar Energy Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems. The successful candidate will need strong technical skills and a passion for renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of solar panels and monitoring devices in residential and commercial settings.
• Perform ongoing maintenance checks and emergency repairs as needed.
• Evaluate and improve installation processes for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all projects and equipment used.
• Liaise with clients to explain system operations and maintenance requirements.
• Conduct site surveys to assess solar potential and design requirements.
• Ensure all installations meet regulatory and company standards.
• Train junior technicians on proper installation and maintenance practices.
• Evaluate supplier components for compliance with industry regulations.
• Participate in community outreach to promote solar energy adoption.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.
• Health and Safety certifications - desirable.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in solar installations and troubleshooting.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of solar energy systems

Certifications

• NABCEP PV Installer Certification

Languages
