Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logging Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to fell trees safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of forestry practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate logging machinery to fell trees and manage timber harvesting.
• Conduct daily checks on machinery and report any issues immediately.
• Implement best practices for environmental sustainability in the logging process.
• Maintain an accurate log of operations and equipment usage.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Logging Equipment Operator in the forestry/logging industry.

Technical Skills

• Feller Machinery Operation
• Forestry Practices

Certifications

• Valid Feller Operator Certification/Licence

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating additional heavy machinery in forestry/logging.: Hands-on experience with various logging machines is an asset.
