As a Deicer Finisher, you will be responsible for applying deicing agents to aircraft surfaces to prevent ice formation and ensure safe operations. Your role is essential in maintaining aircraft functionality during winter conditions.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-emptive checks to determine the need for deicing actions on various aircraft.
Utilise chemical deicers in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule deicing tasks during aircraft turnaround.
Document all deicing activities and maintain compliance with industry standards.
React efficiently to emergency weather advisories to ensure aircraft safety.
Train new staff on deicing processes and safety protocols.
Provide feedback on deicing equipment performance and suggest improvements.
Ensure safety equipment is operational and maintained.
Report any potentials issues to supervision for immediate action.
Keep work area clear and adhere to health and safety regulations.
