Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Orthotic Fabricator Technician to help us fabricate bespoke orthotic devices. The successful applicant will work alongside experienced professionals, using advanced techniques and materials to create tailored solutions that meet individual patient needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed fabrication plans for orthotic devices based on client needs.
  • Execute modifications to existing devices to improve functionality or comfort based on feedback.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and device performance.
  • Participate in ongoing learning opportunities regarding new materials and fabrication technologies.
  • Support inventory management processes by monitoring and ordering materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational protocols.
  • Contribute to research projects aimed at improving orthotic technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Orthotics or related field
  • Relevant certifications in Orthotic Fabrication are advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthotic fabrication environment.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of biomechanics
  • Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) tools
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Understanding of patient education strategies: Experience providing patients with clear instructions and guidance on the use of their orthotic devices.
  • Experience in a clinical setting: Previous work experience in a healthcare or clinical environment.
