Job Description

As a Musical Instrument Repairer and Tuner, you will be responsible for restoring and maintaining organs and other musical instruments. This role requires an eye for detail, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on organs and various musical instruments.
  • Assess and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
  • Tune and install organ components, ensuring precision in sound.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns.
  • Engage with clients to discuss instrument care and service plans.
  • Ensure that workshop tools and workspaces are tidy and safe.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Handle urgent repairs efficiently to meet client demands.
  • Keep detailed records of service history for all instruments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve repair techniques and processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Advanced Diploma in Musical Instrument Technology or equivalent
  • Apprenticeship in Organ Building and Repair preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in musical instrument repair
Technical Skills
