Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Splicing Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining splicing machinery, focusing on connecting fiber optic cables while ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate splicing machines before operation.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on all spliced connections.
• Maintain records of materials and equipment used.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Participate in continuous improvement of processes and techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in fiber optic splicing

Technical Skills

• OTDR Testing and Analysis
• Fusion Splicing

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Communication

Certifications

• OTDR Testing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Telecommunications Regulations: Understanding of the regulations governing telecommunications services in the UK.
• Experience with Fiber Optic Equipment Maintenance: Background in maintaining splicing machines and other fiber optic tools.
