Interior Design Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Interior Design Assistant to join our creative team in Burnley. As an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our designers throughout all phases of project execution, from concept development to final installation. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow within the field of interior design.

Responsibilities

• Support the design team in completing various interior design projects.
• Assist in sourcing and selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design specifications are followed.
• Facilitate the installation of design elements in client spaces.
• Gather client feedback post-installation for continuous improvement.
• Research industry trends to inform design choices.
• Work with external vendors to obtain quotes and samples.
• Document project progress through photos and reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or similar field
• Additional qualifications in business or marketing are advantageous

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in interior design or a related role

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Adobe Creative Suite
• MS Office

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• NCIDQ Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in client-facing roles: Previous experience in a role that involved direct client interaction is a plus.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Knowledge of Burnley’s building regulations can be advantageous.
