Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic practice in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and a commitment to providing high-quality veterinary services. This role involves diagnosing and treating various animal conditions, performing surgeries, and collaborating with our team to ensure the health and well-being of our beloved pets.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems.
  • Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, performing surgery, and other treatments.
  • Administer anaesthetics and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with veterinary advancements and best practices.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff and interns.
  • Foster relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication regarding pet health.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture and team morale.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Surgery is advantageous
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a veterinary role preferred
