Job Description

Join our vibrant team as an Art Conservation Specialist in Edinburgh. You will be tasked with evaluating and conserving artworks using state-of-the-art techniques and materials, contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the condition of artworks using scientific methods.
  • Create conservation documentation and reports for each project.
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibitions by ensuring artworks are in optimal condition.
  • Educate the public on conservation importance through workshops and outreach.
  • Assist in curatorial decision-making regarding display and storage of artworks.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or related field
  • Professional conservation training is highly desirable
Experience
  • 4+ years of direct experience in conservation practices
