Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying and mitigating risks to our IT infrastructure, ensuring the integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement advanced security tools and technologies to protect systems.
• Engage in penetration testing to evaluate system security.
• Analyze current security measures for effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Respond promptly to breaches or security alerts.
• Maintain documentation of cybersecurity incidents and responses.
• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve security-related issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity roles

• Threat Analysis

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash: Experience with automating security tasks using scripts.
• Experience in a cloud environment, preferably AWS or Azure: Understanding of securing cloud services and infrastructure.
