Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Forestry Foreman to oversee and manage all forestry operations within our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of forestry practices to lead a dedicated team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of forestry operations and manage a field team effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental policies and sustainability standards throughout all operations.
  • Design and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and resource management.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on safety and operational protocols.
  • Liaise with local communities to promote positive relations and address concerns related to forestry activities.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management for forestry projects.
  • Participate in recruitment and performance evaluations of forestry staff.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of current forestry technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within forest management operations.
  • Track and report on project progress to senior management.

Requirements

Education
  • Advanced qualification in Forestry or Environmental Science is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience within forestry
