Job Description

As a Sawing Machine Setter at Sustainable Timber Co., your primary responsibility will be to operate saw machines, ensuring precision in cutting lumber for various construction projects. You will work closely with supervisors and fellow operators to maintain the workflow, adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust saw machines according to specifications provided.
  • Work with team members to optimise production flow and quality.
  • Maintain saw blades and tools for sharpness and efficiency.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure satisfaction.
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently.
  • Assist with training new staff on equipment operation.
  • Document any equipment malfunctions and report them promptly.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to risk assessments.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience operating saw machines in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
