Job Description

The Instrument Mechanics Supervisor will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and control systems within an industrial environment. This role includes managing a skilled team of mechanics and providing essential technical support to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented team of mechanics in the execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to instrumentation faults.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance and suggest upgrades where necessary.
  • Implement preventive maintenance measures to extend equipment lifespan.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training amongst team members.
  • Oversee contractor works and ensure quality assurance standards are met.
  • Engage in continuous professional development initiatives.
  • Assist in budget preparation and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
  • Promote a positive working environment and team cohesion.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Apprenticeship or relevant vocational qualifications
  • Supervisory or management training
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
