Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Insurance Underwriter to manage and evaluate insurance applications, assessing risk and determining policy terms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in underwriting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data to determine risk factors and necessary coverage.
• Assess economic conditions that could impact underwriting decisions.
• Participate in underwriter training programs to enhance skills.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Assist in policy renewals and endorsements as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in insurance is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of underwriting experience with a focus on commercial insurance

• Risk Evaluation

Certifications

• Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)

Languages

• English: Fluent
