Job Description

As a Dam Operator, you will oversee the daily monitoring and maintenance of critical dam operations, ensuring the safety of the surrounding community and the integrity of the equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Control the water flow and perform adjustments as necessary.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on dam machinery.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential safety issues.
  • Prepare reports on dam performance and maintenance activities.
  • Communicate with external agencies regarding operational changes.
  • Implement safety protocols and participate in emergency drills.
  • Assist with the development of operational procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

Education
  • Higher education in Environmental Science or Engineering
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in dam operations or water management preferred
Technical Skills
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Electrical systems understanding

Certifications
  • Health and Safety Certifications
Languages
  • English: Fluent
