Job Description

An experienced Steel Placer is required to join our team. The role involves placing and securing steel reinforcement bars in concrete structures for various projects in the construction industry. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the successful execution of construction plans, meeting deadlines, and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate construction drawings for the correct positioning of steel reinforcement.
• Utilize tools and machinery for the accurate cutting and bending of steel rebar.
• Embed reinforcement bars securely in concrete forms per project specifications.
• Employ approved methods for securing steel bars.
• Monitor steel placement for precision and compliance with safety standards.
• Work in conjunction with fellow team members to align efforts towards swift project completion.
• Follow all health and safety protocols diligently.
• Communicate any discrepancies or concerns with site leadership.
• Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained.
• Maintain an organized and tidy work environment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid construction industry certification or relevant vocational training preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Steel Placer or similar role in the construction industry.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of steel reinforcement placement techniques
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
