We are looking for a skilled Velvet Weaver to join our talented team in London. As a Velvet Weaver, you will be responsible for producing high-quality velvet fabrics, adhering to design patterns, and ensuring every piece meets our high standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a strong understanding of weaving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks on fabric quality to ensure the highest standards.
• Adjust weaving patterns as per designers' requirements and specifications.
• Use CAD software to create and modify designs for production.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules and new techniques.
• Provide insights into fabric utilization and suggest improvements for efficiency.
• Actively participate in training new team members on weaving processes.

Advantageous

• Experience with different types of velvet and their weaving techniques: Proficiency in various velvet types and the nuances in their production.
• Knowledge of color theory and fabric dyeing processes: Understanding of how color influences textile aesthetics and quality.
• Experience in training and supervising junior weavers: Ability to mentor new team members and share knowledge effectively.
