Job Description

We are seeking a Merchandise for Resale Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team. Your primary tasks will involve sourcing, negotiating, and securing merchandise for resale. You will closely work with suppliers, evaluate products, and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.

Responsibilities

• Identify new merchandise trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Develop robust relationships with suppliers to improve service delivery.
• Analyze purchase data to optimize stock levels and reduce overheads.
• Prepare monthly purchasing reports for review by management.
• Engage in strategic planning for future product lines.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate improvements where necessary.
• Implement best practices in procurement to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.

Experience

• Experience within the retail sector is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Proficiency

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.

Languages
