Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Reading. You will be responsible for assessing insurance applications, determining coverage, and evaluating risk. Your expertise will contribute to making informed underwriting decisions that align with our company’s objectives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of insurance applications and risk profiles.
• Set and communicate underwriting guidelines and standards.
• Monitor and review existing policies for renewals and changes in risk.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior underwriters.
• Utilize underwriting software to manage applications and data.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Explore new insurance products and markets to enhance offerings.
• Participate in industry events and training sessions to stay updated.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience

Certifications

• AINS (Associate in National Insurance)
