Job Description

As an Art Conservationist, you will play a pivotal role in preserving our cultural heritage. You will evaluate artworks, develop conservation plans, and collaborate with artists and historians to ensure ethical practices in the conservation field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct condition checks and suggest suitable conservation treatments.
  • Restore and maintain artworks, ensuring ethical practices are followed.
  • Document conservation processes and maintain records of materials used.
  • Collaborate with team members on conservation projects and exhibitions.
  • Engage in community outreach to educate the public about art conservation.
  • Help develop training programs for new conservators.
  • Utilize various conservation techniques based on artwork materials and condition.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Conservation, Fine Arts, or related field
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in art conservation or restoration
