Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Cloud Security Engineer to join our Birmingham office. You will play a key role in protecting our cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and managing security protocols. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various cloud platforms and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud security architecture and best practices across all cloud environments.
• Identify, classify, and manage risks associated with cloud services.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to improve security posture.
• Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security issues promptly.
• Evaluate new security technologies and solutions to enhance cloud security.
• Create and maintain security policies and procedures relevant to cloud services.
• Educate users on security awareness and cloud best practices.
• Serve as a point of contact for cloud security incidents and investigations.
• Assist with audits by providing required security documentation and evidence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and security

Technical Skills

• Cloud Security Architecture
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Compliance Standards (ISO, NIST)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time Management

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with security frameworks: Experience with security frameworks such as NIST or ISO for cloud environments.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Hands-on experience with SIEM tools for monitoring and reporting.
