Health Education Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Health Education Specialist to develop and implement community health education programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals and community partners to promote health awareness and improve the well-being of our community members.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored health education materials for different demographics.
• Facilitate training sessions for volunteers and community health workers.
• Collaborate with public health officials to address community health challenges.
• Collect and analyse data to assess the impact of health programmes.
• Lead initiatives to promote mental health awareness and resources.
• Conduct outreach to underserved populations to ensure equitable access to health education.
• Engage in community events to encourage participation in health programmes.
• Utilise social media and other platforms to promote health initiatives.
• Create informational brochures and digital content for community distribution.
• Work with healthcare providers to link patients to educational resources.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion or related field
• Master's degree in Health Education is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in health education or community outreach

Certifications

• Community Health Worker Certification
