Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? As a Special Education Teacher, you'll develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of your students. You'll work collaboratively with parents, specialists, and other educators to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses and learning styles.
  • Develop and modify instructional strategies based on student needs.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Coordinate with support staff and specialists to provide comprehensive support.
  • Lead professional development sessions for staff on best practices in special education.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Special Education certification or license
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience in special education
