Job Description

We are seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst to join our team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in defending our infrastructure from cyber threats, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies for threat detection and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct threat assessments and develop countermeasures.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, coordinating response efforts.
  • Collaborate with regulatory compliance to ensure security standards.
  • Provide technical security expertise to projects and initiatives.
  • Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to stay ahead.
  • Assist in the implementation of security tools and solutions.
  • Review and analyse logs from various systems for anomalies.
  • Facilitate incident response drills and exercises.
  • Maintain knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for security-related inquiries.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role

  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
