Highway Patrol Commander

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Patrol Commander to lead and oversee our patrol operations. The Commander will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the highway patrol unit and ensuring public safety on the roads.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of the highway patrol team, ensuring efficient operations.
• Conduct regular training sessions for officers to enhance their skills.
• Develop community outreach programs to improve public relations.
• Collaborate with local government and agencies on traffic safety initiatives.
• Assess and implement new technology for patrol operations.
• Respond to high-pressure situations and emergencies as necessary.
• Review and analyse traffic data to inform strategy and operational decisions.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation among officers to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred

Experience

• Proven experience as a law enforcement officer, with a focus on highway patrol, is critical.
