Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our teaching staff and assist students at our Glasgow academy. Your role will include helping with classroom management, preparing learning materials, and providing support tailored to individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interactive learning experiences for students.
• Prepare and organize classroom materials for lessons.
• Assist students with special educational needs.
• Collaborate with teachers in implementing lesson plans.
• Monitor and evaluate student participation and progress.
• Encourage students to develop independent learning skills.
• Help with extracurricular activities and events.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a supportive learning environment.

Requirements

Education

• A levels or equivalent qualifications
• Dyslexia Awareness training or similar

Experience

• Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in tutoring or mentoring: Previous experience in an educational support role is beneficial.
