Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance our security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of information security protocols and demonstrate expertise in threat analysis and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
• Evaluate and deploy security tools and technologies.
• Prepare reports for management regarding security incidents.
• Coordinate with external security vendors as needed.
• Identify and mitigate risks to data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Participate in the development of disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data security.
• Foster a security-first culture within the organisation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS: Knowledge of implementing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
