Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will be at the forefront of health improvement in Sheffield. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to develop and implement public health initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities. This role requires a proactive approach in assessing community health needs and steering health promotion strategies effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement health education programmes.
  • Participate in community meetings and provide health-related insights.
  • Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
  • Manage budgets and resources for public health initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative changes impacting public health.
  • Train staff and community members on public health best practices.
  • Utilize data to inform public health strategies and practices.
  • Enhance community involvement in health promotion activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related discipline
  • PhD in Public Health is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health projects
