Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at Bright Futures Academy in Birmingham. This role involves supporting classroom teachers, assisting with lesson preparation, and helping to create an engaging learning environment for students. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to helping students thrive.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small group activities to reinforce lesson content.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Supervise students during lunch and breaks.
• Maintain a clean and organised classroom space.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Requirements

Education

• A-levels or equivalent
• Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in a teaching or educational support role is desirable.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with special needs students: Knowledge and experience in supporting students with learning difficulties.
