Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinic in Swansea. In this role, you will perform routine surgeries, conduct health assessments, and engage in emergency care. You will also educate pet owners on the best practices for the health and welfare of their animals, ensuring they receive the utmost care in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat both routine and complex medical conditions.
  • Perform various surgical procedures while ensuring high standards of care.
  • Effectively communicate with pet owners about their pet's health status.
  • Oversee the administration of medication and treatment protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Conduct regular health checks and preventive care consultations.
  • Manage emergency cases with professionalism and expertise.
  • Keep abreast of new medical technologies and treatments.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years in veterinary practice required
