Leather Finisher

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Leather Finisher to join our production team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying finishes to leather products, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards and are aesthetically pleasing.

Responsibilities

• Perform leather finishing techniques, including sanding, buffing, and polishing.
• Apply leather dyes, stains, and finishes to achieve desired colour and texture.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Identify and rectify any imperfections or defects in the leather.
• Collaborate with the design team to understand specific finishing requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required, but vocational training or apprenticeship in leather finishing is advantageous.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience as a Leather Finisher or similar role.

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Basic math skills

Soft Skills

• Effective time management
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Excellent problem-solving abilities

Languages

• English: Fluent
