Engineering Test Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Test Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting tests, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in the development of new products. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough tests on new prototypes to evaluate their performance.
• Record and maintain comprehensive documentation of all testing processes.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify any technical discrepancies encountered during testing.
• Work alongside engineering teams to enhance testing protocols.
• Contribute to the design and development of better testing instruments.
• Adhere strictly to established safety and quality guidelines during all testing.
• Regularly maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot testing apparatus.
• Synthesize test results into understandable reports for review.
• Engage in activities aimed at enhancing testing techniques and approaches.
• Support production staff with technical insights where necessary.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical certification or associate degree in engineering or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• CAD Software Experience
• Data Analysis Software Experience

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Time Management

Advantageous

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, etc.): Knowledge regarding compliance frameworks for quality assurance.
• Experience with quality control processes: Understanding of the protocols required to maintain product quality.
