Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Soil Laboratory Technician to join our environmental science team in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in soil testing and analysis, contributing to projects that assess soil quality and environmental impact. This role requires hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and collaboration with scientists to produce reliable results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field sampling and laboratory analysis of soil samples.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists to interpret test data.
• Prepare technical reports summarising findings and recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory space.
• Assist in the procurement of laboratory supplies and materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in soil science.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Certification in soil testing techniques is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of laboratory experience in soil or environmental analysis
