Aerospace Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Aerospace Engineer to join our Southampton team. You will be tasked with designing and analyzing aerospace systems and components, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovations in aerospace technology. Your input will be critical in ensuring our designs meet regulatory standards and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conception to completion.
• Utilize CAD software for modelling and design.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Provide input for project timelines and resource allocation.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Work closely with suppliers to procure materials and components.
• Facilitate engineering workshops and knowledge sharing sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering
• Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified in Aerospace Engineering
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink: Experience using MATLAB and Simulink for modelling and analysis.
• Experience with aerospace regulations and compliance: Knowledge of UK and international aerospace regulations.
