Job Description

As an Orchestra Director, you will hold the artistic reins of our esteemed orchestra. Your expertise in conducting will guide the ensemble, ensuring the delivery of outstanding musical performances while fostering collaboration and artistic vision.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the orchestra in the performance of a diverse range of works.
  • Mentor and support emerging musicians within the orchestra.
  • Assess and manage the artistic needs of the orchestra.
  • Develop relationships with other artistic organizations.
  • Plan and implement innovative concert formats to attract new audiences.
  • Oversee the logistical arrangements for the orchestra's performances.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and creativity among musicians.
  • Participate in community outreach to promote musical education.
  • Research and introduce contemporary repertoire and composers.
  • Advocate for the orchestra within the local and national arts community.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Music or related field is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Music required

  • Minimum 5 years of conducting experience with diverse musical groups
