Job Description

We are seeking a Chief Sustainability Officer to lead our sustainability initiatives, develop comprehensive plans to enhance environmental performance, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to integrate sustainability into the company's core strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainability policies and objectives.
  • Coordinate sustainability initiatives across departments to enhance environmental performance.
  • Support the creation of sustainability-focused training programs for staff.
  • Identify and assess potential environmental risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to drive sustainability efforts.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs for measuring sustainability performance.
  • Enhance interdepartmental communication regarding sustainability initiatives.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to environmental laws.
  • Conduct benchmarking against industry best practices in sustainability.
  • Foster relationships with community partners for sustainability outreach.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
  • Master's degree in Sustainability Management or relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a sustainability leadership role
