Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Road Roller Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating road rollers to compact soil, asphalt, and other materials for construction projects. They will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Control and steer road rollers for effective compaction during road construction.
  • Review project plans to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct daily checks on equipment to ensure operational safety.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist with training new operators on safe equipment usage.
  • Communicate with site managers regarding progress and any potential delays.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify safety hazards on site.
  • Optimize rolling patterns based on project specifications.
  • Support other construction activities as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • On-the-job training available with no formal qualifications required.
  • Valid road roller operator license preferred.
Experience
  • At least 2 years experience in an operational construction role.
