Cane Cutter

Job Description

As a Cane Cutter, you will be integral to the harvesting process within our commercial sugar cane plantations. Your main responsibility will involve using machetes to efficiently cut and collect sugar cane in teams, ensuring both quality and quantity.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to cut sugar cane efficiently.
• Load and prepare cane for transportation.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Take part in team briefings and debriefings.
• Support other team members in their tasks as required.

Requirements

Education

• N/A

Experience

• Any previous experience in manual labour is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Use of cutting tools
• Health and safety awareness

Advantageous

• Experience using machinery: Previous experience operating agricultural machinery is a plus.
• Proven physical fitness: Demonstrable ability to meet physical demands of the job.
